South Mainland of Nova Scotia

Today we travel through the southern half of Nova Scotia beginning on the Glooscap Trail where we look 250 million years of fossil history at Joggins; the birthplace of hockey; The First Nations, French & English history; world famous Digby scallops; whale watching on the highest tides in the world; then rocky and rugged Lighthouse Trail along the Atlantic coast with its fishing and ship building communities including the incredible Peggy’s Cove.
